All components can be measured using our 3D CMM equipment. Visual 3D inspection reports are provided to demonstrate measuring results. Recent investment in the latest scanning technology provides PT&D with the advantage of creating 3D measurement reports in a matter of minutes. This facility also enables PT&D to offer a reverse engineering service to its customers.

2D / 3D Inspection Report

We offer an enhanced measurement and inspection service for one off prototypes / samples.
Measuring profiles,slots, holes and radius information.
Reports can be produced from paper drawings or CAD data.

Specialist Multi-Slide toolmakers Phoenix Tooling and Development Ltd, based in Aldridge, West Midlands, have recently added the latest state of the art Romer Absolute Arm measuring equipment as an integral part of the company’s expanding precision tooling design and development facilities.

Commissioned to ensure the company maintains the highest levels of quality inspection and control together with a fast and efficient turnaround, the Romer Arm reduces the precise measuring time and development cycle time to a minimum.

The built in facilities of the new Romer Absolute Arm enables the Phoenix engineers to reverse engineer the manufacture of new parts without the need for drawings or CAD. The equipment also incorporates Easy ‘A’ surface form inspection, mobile scanning and hard surface probe capabilities together with instant easy to read colour map results.
